Seeing trucks, crews, and construction in your area? That means something exciting is happening: fiber internet is coming to your neighborhood.
We know construction can raise questions—so here’s a clear, honest breakdown of what to expect, how long it takes, and how we’re keeping your community in mind every step of the way.
Fiber construction involves installing underground or aerial fiber-optic cables that deliver ultra-fast internet. This can include trenching, placing handholes, installing pedestals, or attaching cables to utility poles.
Most construction is completed in phases over several weeks. Depending on location, you may see short-term activity lasting a few days in front of your home.
We only work within the public right-of-way or utility easements. If work is near your property, rest assured: we restore everything to its original condition as quickly as possible.
Your safety, privacy, and property are a priority during every step of the build.
This temporary construction leads to a permanent upgrade for your entire neighborhood.
You’ll receive updates as construction progresses. We also encourage you to pre-register with IBT so you’re first in line when service becomes available.
Thanks for your patience—we’re building something better for your community.
